The purpose of the Region 1 Workforce Investment Board is to promote
effective economic and workforce development partnerships that develop
and sustain productive workers for business, and create prosperous
communities for our citizens.
Our regional population is 350,263 with a workforce of and
a current unemployment rate of 4.9 percent.
Region 1 WORKFORCE West Virginia Career Centers are there to assist
in a variety of ways. Whether you are a part of the emerging workforce,
a job seeker or an employer, your local Career Center should be the
first place you turn for all of your workforce needs.
